Instructions

2. Prepare the Batter

  • Add flour and stir quickly until just combined—don’t overmix; small lumps are okay. The batter should be fairly thin.

3. Heat Butter

  • Place butter in the preheated skillet and return to oven until butter is fully melted and sizzling.

  • Carefully remove skillet from oven and brush the edges with melted butter.
  • Pour batter into the hot skillet and immediately return to oven.
